JOB TITLE: Industrial Manufacturing Engineer
LOCATION: Syracuse NY
PAY RATE: $50/hour
We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Type: Contract (12 months with potential for extension)

Shift: 4/10 1st Shift (Mon Thu: 7:00 AM 4:00 PM Fri: 7:00 AM 11:00 AM; schedule targeted as 4-9-4)

Summary:
-
Design manufacturing processes procedures and production layouts for assemblies equipment installation machining and material handling
-
Develop sequence of operations and procedures for fabrication of tools equipment and production functions to improve performance
-
Incorporate inspection and test requirements into production plans as needed
-
Inspect machinery equipment and tools to verify efficiency; initiate corrective actions to resolve deficiencies and ensure product quality
-
Provide guidance to engineering on design concepts and specification requirements to optimize manufacturing techniques and equipment use

Ensure compliance with regulations manufacturing standards and process requirements
Requirements:
-
Bachelors degree in Industrial Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering (Required)
-
5 years of experience (10 years preferred) in a manufacturing/industrial engineering environment
-
Strong knowledge of Green Belt and/or Lean Manufacturing principles
-
Proven self-starter with ability to take initiative on projects
-
Effective collaborator able to work well with cross-functional teams
-
Not aerospace-related this role is specific to an industrial/manufacturing environment

Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
