Job Description
About the position: Shady Hill School is seeking a Dance and Creative Movement Teacher for our 7th and 8th grade Arts Electives program. Each class will meet Tuesdays from 8:20am - 9:55am and Thursdays from 10:25am - 11:10am. Classes will run for 1 trimester (approximately 11 weeks). Teachers may be hired for the full year or term-by-term. Classes will consist of 10 - 15 students. For the Fall 2025 trimester the first day on campus will be September 4 2025 for a department meeting with classes beginning September 9 2025. This position requires an educator with background in a wide range of genres and styles as well as experience working with students of mixed experience and abilities. Specific curriculum will be designed by the teacher but may include improvisation storytelling through movement choreography dance history and vocabulary mindful movement or specific dances. This is a part-time stipend position and does not qualify for benefits. The stipend per trimester is $2394.14 ($7182.42 for all 3 trimesters).
