JOB OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking an Investment Policy Analyst to join our Back-Office Operations team. Working with CI Global Asset Management (CI GAM) as a client the Analyst will support CI GAMs high-net-worth product lines and will be responsible for creating analytics for advisors and their clients. Responsibilities also include processing adjustments to high-net-worth accounts resulting from internal or external errors.
Education & Certifications
Post-secondary degree in Business Finance Accounting Economics or a related discipline (required)
Completion of the IFIC or Canadian Securities Course (considered an asset)
CFA designation or CFA candidate/graduate (strong asset)
Experience & Knowledge
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an analytical or financial services role (asset)
Strong understanding of mutual funds capital gains fund compensation and investment account operations (asset)
Familiarity with financial industry processes including plan types tax rules and trade types (asset)
Skills & Competencies
Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail particularly in data analysis and reconciliation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide remediation recommendations
Ability to conduct comparative financial analyses (e.g. market value comparisons fund compensation estimates capital gain projections)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to collaborate effectively with advisors colleagues and internal stakeholders
Skilled in identifying errors assessing client impact and supporting account adjustments with sound judgment
Proven ability to contribute to quality control and continuous process improvement
