Inova Loudoun Hospital Retail Pharmacy is seeking a dedicatedRetailPharmacy Technician 1to join the team.This role will be PRN Monday Friday days/evenings rotating shifts. Weekends and holidays.

Retail Pharmacy Technician Job Responsibilities:
- Assists the Pharmacist in reviewing processing preparing filling labeling and dispensing medications and supplies.
- Cleans equipment and maintains all required temperature logs according to system policies and procedures.
- Checks medication and administration supply inventory for out-of-date products removes products from inventory and works with the appropriate resource to record out of date products in the Expiring Medication log book.
- Performs computer entry of prescription information including but not limited to patient/prescriber search drug selection prescription interpretation/entry insurance billing and basic problem resolution.
- Prepares medications for clients through mixing medications counting pills and labeling bottles.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Work schedule: 8-hour shift (days/evenings rotating shift. Every other weekend).
- Education:High School or GED.
- Certification:Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of Virginia or a Pharmacy intern license. Basic Life Support (BLS) within 3 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience:One (1) year Retail Pharmacy Technician experience.
