Job Description
Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Site: Southern Bands Health Center (Elko Service Unit ESU)
Location: 515 Shoshone Circle Elko NV 89801
Duration: 1 year contract with possibility of 4 years extension
Shift Schedule:
- Full-time 8-hour shifts.
- Example schedules: 5:00 a.m. 1:30 p.m. 7:00 a.m. 3:30 p.m. 10:30 a.m. 7:00 p.m. 3:30 p.m. 12:00 a.m.
- May include weekend and holiday coverage.
License / Certifications:
- Active unrestricted Pharmacy Technician Certification.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Education:
- Completion of accredited Pharmacy Technician training program
Minimum Qualification / Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience as a certified Pharmacy Technician.
- Ability to compound dispense and maintain inventory under supervision.
- Knowledge of safety and infection control standards
Responsibilities:
- Fill prescription orders accurately and efficiently.
- Compound and reconstitute medications under pharmacist supervision.
- Maintain inventory of medications IV solutions and ward/clinic stock.
- Prepackage medications into unit-dose dispensing sizes.
- Dispense refills and conduct ward/clinic inspections.
- Support patient care activities and assist in pharmacy workflow.
- Participate in mandatory safety infection control and competency training
