You will conduct pioneering research on quantum coherent control of strongly correlated electron systems on surfaces. A particular focus is placed on molecular spin systems where you can harness quantum correlations of many-body spin systems enabled by atomically precise bottom-up synthesis. You will work in the laboratory for Quantum Magnetism fully equipped with low-temperature high magnetic field scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) and tuning fork atomic force microscopy (QPlus AFM) integrated with electron spin resonance (ESR) capabilities.
Your profile
We are looking for a highly motivated experimentalist who meets the following criteria:
PhD in Physics Nanoscience Quantum Science Electronic Engineering or a related field
Strong background in solid-state physics quantum magnetism surface science under UHV conditions or quantum nanoscience
Experience in scanning probe microscopy (STM or AFM) ideally with a focus on magnetic nanostructures or spin-resonance techniques
Programming skills in Python or similar languages
A proactive and collaborative mindset strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills in English
