Job Description

yourtown is a trusted provider of services for young people with a focus on mental health and wellbeing long-term unemployment prevention of youth suicide child protection as well as support for those experiencing domestic and family violence.

As the Job Development Coach you will be on the frontline delivering tailored employment services to young people living with disability. You will coach guide and empower our members to overcome barriers build work readiness and secure sustainable employment.

This is a hands-on face-to-face role where you will:

Conduct individual assessments and develop personalised job plans.
Create inclusive employment opportunities by engaging with employers.
Advocate for young people and support them into meaningful work.
Provide ongoing post-placement support to ensure long-term success.
Collaborate with internal teams and community stakeholders.
Promote youth-first strengths-based approaches to employment.

We are recruiting two full time Job Development Coaches to join our team in Hervey Bay QLD

In addition you also possess:

Experience in Disability Employment Services (DES) or similar and are ready to apply it with purpose and impact
A high degree of emotional intelligence: self-awareness. self-management social awareness and relationship management
The ability to thrive in dynamic youth focused environments and build genuine connections with young people.
A comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by young people living with disability and are committed to helping them overcome these through employment
The motivation to achieve measurable outcomes and believe that employment is a powerful gateway to independence and self worth.
The readiness to make a meaningful difference. Every day with every young person.
