Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a General Labourer! This role is based out of our fabrication plant location in Edmonton AB.
Job Summary
We are seeking an upbeat individual with a keen eye to detail and a positive demeanour! The primary focus of the role will be ensuring that the shop floor is safe and clean to help it runs efficiently.
SHIFT: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday and reporting to the Department Supervisor
PAY: $28.18/hr
- Using various cleaning equipment to pick up shavings and dust off the shop floor
- Cutting wood to various lengths to assemble crates for the blending area
- Conducting movement of products throughout the shop such as operating a crawler to bring pipe in the shop
- Cleaning out and under equipment
- Participate in 5S activities and sustain 5S systems.
- Assigned duties as deemed vital by management.
- Any other duties assigned as operational needs
Requirements
- Must be always safety conscious of self and others
- Must be a self-starter and able to work under minimal supervision
- Must be able to analyze problems and make decisions within their area of responsibility
- Must be team-oriented person
- Must be able to lift / carry 50 pounds frequently.
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing plant environment requiring varying degrees of physical labour including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Working in confined spaces such as silos
- The use of hand tools
- Considerable amount of sensory attention is required
