Summary:
To assist and support the Executive Director and Assistant Director of Human Resources in the successful oversight and operation of departmental functions as it pertains to recruitment and retention in accordance with state/federal laws local policies and the divisions mission. This position supervises HR Analysts on the employment team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in human resources or a related field; other degrees in school administration may be considered with demonstrated proficiency in human resources
- Five or more years of proven work experience in recruiting/talent acquisition and employee engagement.
- Three or more years of supervisory or management experience
- Professional Human Resources certification preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of teacher licensure requirements preferred
- Advanced computer skills and knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems and HR Information Systems
- Interpersonal skills necessary to work successfully with the HR team and various stakeholder groups
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Firm understanding and implementation of recruiting metrics to drive decision-making
Essential Duties
Essential duties are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Other duties may be assigned.
- Uses various methods to recruit and network with potential candidates including social media platforms networking events job fairs and information sessions
- Organizes and attends job fairs recruitment events and college speaking engagements
- Manages the application process for VDOE hiring grants and incentives
- Identifies and manages Grow Your Own initiatives and pathways
- Coordinates with hiring managers to develop targeted recruiting plans for hard-to-fill and specialized positions
- Creates and presents monthly personnel reviews and updates for the FCPS School Board
- Assists in the creation of various surveys and the analyzing of the results to drive decision-making about employee retention and engagement
- Maintain the Vector training system including user account management location representative assignments assignment of employee training reminders reporting auditing and tracking
- Maintains and oversees the daily operations of contracted services with external staffing agencies
- Coordinates with the department of professional learning to support retention efforts
- Provides support to student teachers and cooperating teachers and provides feedback to the mentor committee
- Works closely with the Media and Communications Department to develop and execute recruiting marketing and branding strategies
- Conducts stay interviews with new hires and makes suggestions for continual improvement of processes to ensure staff have resources and necessary tools for their recommendations for improvements or adjustments to the recruiting and onboarding process
- Provides support to the substitute recruiting and management process and assists administrators in filling substitute needs
- Leads efforts to provide licensure education and counseling to potential candidates
- Cross-collaborates with all division departments to assess needs
- Leads strategic development and implementation of employee engagement and retention initiatives
- Assist with job postings and job offers as needed.
- Other duties as may be assigned through the immediate supervisor
Pay Rate:
The salary range is $89816-$147900
