Job Description

SUMMARY

Perform daily customer service activities for international accounts. Those activities include customer service functions system setup and maintenance issue resolution and warehouse point of contact.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receive customer inquiry calls and emails.
  • JDE set up for new and existing client destination countries.
  • JDE shipping/receiving to support Armada East Point shipping.
  • Process customer orders received electronically or via fax. Includes order entry.
  • Address daily stock out notices presented by Warehouse Operations.
  • Process customer requested credits; obtain approval process credit orders and adjustments to inventory as necessary.
  • Interact with all departments and warehouse locations to ensure timely and accurate execution of outbound orders.
  • Assist customers suppliers warehouse locations and carriers in resolving issues.
  • Assist Accounts Receivable with resolving customer payment discrepancies.
  • Work collaboratively with government officials during inspections.
  • Assist with Claims Department as needed.
  • Compile and generate account specific performance metrics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience Requirement

Minimum:

  • 1-3 years Customer Service experience plus any combination of
  • Strong relationship management and networking skills.
  • Associates degree or relevant work experience

Preferred:

  • Bachelors degree in Business or Logistics


Language and Technical Skills requirement

  • General understanding of business distribution and transportation terms and concepts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel required; Access ERP applications preferred
  • Solid problem solving skills with demonstrated experiences of individual and team based problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills including listening written oral and demonstrated group presentation

  • Work is usually performed in an office environment with normal noise levels. Involves prolonged sitting and computer/phone usage.
  • Minimal travel required. The expectation is for less than 5% travel.
