The Registrar Office at Ivy Tech is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented work-study student assistant to support our team with data entry for general student information and web extender document imaging. The position assists the registrar in tracking and completing all information required to accommodate students transfer and reverse transfers through out the state.
General Qualifications:
- Completed FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need.
- Maintain a minimum of 6 credit hours of enrollment in eligible courses.
- Maintain an aid-eligible Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status .
- Possess a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or greater.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
- Warm personality with strong communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work well with limited supervision.
- Ability to follow legal and policy procedures accurately and maintain proper discretion and confidentiality.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Registrar Office staff with data entry tasks.
- Respond to general inquiries from students regarding their transcripts and reverse transfer eligibility.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student information.
- Perform electronic filing by scanning and indexing documentation received.
- Assist with the filing and organization of student records.
- Collaborate with other members of the Registrar Office team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services to students.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Registrar Office staff.
- Utilizes confidentiality in business practices.
- Secures and protects the privacy of documents .
- Checks and corrects documentation and placement of previously filed documents.
- Applicant must have a completed FAFSA on file demonstrating financial need.
- Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) status to remain aid-eligible.
- Must be current student and enrolled in a minimum of 1 credit hour in eligible courses during employment or coming term.
