Primary Purpose:
Responsible for on-site leadership of campus food services operations. Ensure that appropriate quantities of food are prepared and served. Meeting time constraints set by menu requirements established by Central Office administration. Ensure all operations follow safe food handling standards.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient typing keyboarding and file maintenance skills
Ability to use a personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets databases and do word processing
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Additional Requirements:
Regular attendance is an essential job function and requirement.
Experience:
Three years of secretarial experience preferably in a public education environment
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Records Reports and Correspondence
- 1. Prepare correspondence memorandums forms requisitions and reports for Student
Nutrition office.
- Compile pertinent data to prepare various required state and local reports.
- Maintain inventory of departmental fixed assets equipment and supplies.
- Keep up-to-date files for all department employees.
- Maintain and submit the Student Nutrition payroll.
- Complete all new hire paperwork.
- Maintain inventory and distribution of employee uniforms.
- Maintain a schedule of appointments and plan for conferences and
interviews as needed for the Student Nutrition Director.
Other:
- Assist in answering incoming calls taking messages and routing them to appropriate staff.
- Maintain confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Communication
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship and open communication with parents students colleagues and community members.
Professional Growth and Development
- Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
- Comply with state district and school regulations and policies for food service workers.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as required.

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Tools/Equipment Used: Personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipment; P.E. teachers: automated external defibrillator (AED)
Posture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting bending/stooping pushing/pulling and twisting
Motion: Frequent walking
Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and move text books and classroom equipment
Environment: Work inside; may work outside; regular exposure to noise
Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work prolonged or irregular hours
