The West Virginia DMV is seeking Mainframe Application Programmer Analysts to support and modernize the Drivers License System in compliance with CDLIS (Commercial Driver License Information System) and federal FMCSA requirements. This position offers an opportunity to work on mission-critical government IT systems in a long-term stable engagement.
Enhance and modernize the WV DMV Drivers License Mainframe System for compliance with CDLIS and FMCSA regulations.
Implement new AAMVA ACD codes and ensure alignment with evolving federal/state laws.
Integrate with the WV Court System to ensure CDL convictions are updated within 10 days (FMCSA compliance).
Provide daily operational support: troubleshooting end-user support system documentation and training.
Maintain support and upgrade mainframe applications to ensure performance security and compliance.
Develop enhancements and technical solutions to meet new DMV and regulatory requirements
IBM Mainframe (COBOL/CICS/DB2): 5 years designing and maintaining enterprise mainframe systems.
JCL (Job Control Language): 5 years programming in enterprise mainframe environments.
WV Drivers Enterprise Database: 3 years in analysis/design; prior state/federal regulated environment experience required.
IBM Tools (RC/Update PRF): 3 years experience.
Commercial Driver Licensing: 1 year experience with federal/state CDL requirements in WV.
AAMVA Applications: Experience with CDLIS POPS SSOLV UNI and State-to-State interfaces.
Documentation: Submit resumes for 2 candidates; 3 verifiable project references required.
