Description

RP Rents Dispatch Rental Coordinator

The Dispatch Rental Coordinator plays a vital role in the smooth functioning of equipment rental operations combining the skills of a rental coordinator with dispatching responsibilities. They act as a central point of contact for customers and drivers ensuring efficient processing of rental orders timely deliveries and pickups and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Customer Service: Handle customer inquiries process rental agreements provide quotes and address any concerns or issues related to equipment rentals.

- Rental Coordination: Coordinate rental reservations and schedules including preparing agreements verifying licenses processing payments and managing customer expectations.

- Dispatching: Oversee daily dispatching of equipment drivers and ensuring timely deliveries and pick ups.

- Scheduling and Routing: Coordinate schedules for drivers optimizing routes for efficiency and minimizing downtime.

- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory.

- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of rental transactions dispatch activities repairs and other relevant information.

- Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Respond to operational challenges such as equipment breakdowns or unexpected delays and find prompt solutions to keep things moving.

- Collaboration: Work closely with the rental manager service team and other relevant departments to improve processes and resolve issues.

- Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety standards industry regulations (including DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules) and company policies.

Qualifications:

- Experience in the equipment rental industry

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills

- Excellent communication and customer service abilities

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
