Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior PostgreSQL Support Database Engineer to lead and expand our Support Operations team.
Aufgaben
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design implementation and maintenance of PostgreSQL databases in Kubernetes environments using operators.
- Provide expertise in database performance tuning query optimization and high availability solutions including Patroni.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of databases with applications and infrastructure.
- Act as a subject matter expert in troubleshooting and resolving complex database-related incidents.
- Mentor and guide junior database engineers in adopting best practices and methodologies.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of database processes and automation.
- Manage and prioritize tasks efficiently while ensuring high standards of database reliability and security.
Qualifikation
Qualifications:
- Extensive practical experience with the administration of PostgreSQL databases
- Strong knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Solid understanding of version control systems especially Git
Nice to have:
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Jira for issue tracking and project management.
- Proven expertise in high availability solutions particularly with Patroni.
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes operators for PostgreSQL and OpenShift.
