. Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Manager of Literacy & Language Services the Instructor provides instruction to small groups of adult learners with a specific program focus (i.e. ESL LBS LINC) in accordance with respective and established assessment instructor consults with the Manager of Literacy & Language Services to deliver program assignments and works collaboratively within a team environment to ensure that appropriate programming is delivered accordingly to applicable and designated Ministry and Board requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
Possess a three year university degree or three year college diploma with a concentration in education social work sociology psychology linguistics or applied languages or in a related field. Familiarity with community support agencies pertaining to adult family or employment-related issues is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years ESL instruction of adults is employment or volunteer experience in teaching social work or immigration services is an qualifications or teaching qualifications in ESL is required.
