About the role
Wyndham City is seeking passionate and community-minded Early Years Partnerships Officers to join our dedicated team in the Family & Sector Partnerships Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of integrated early years systems that place children and families at the centre.
In this role youll play a key part in delivering Wyndhams Early Years Partnership Framework; a wholistic community approach focused on creating seamless place-based support for children and families. Your work will involve building and nurturing collaborative relationships with a diverse network of stakeholders including community organisations service providers developers government agencies and families themselves.
Youll provide strategic advice on infrastructure and service planning to ensure early years environments are welcoming fit-for-purpose and aligned with best-practice frameworks. Youll also help ensure our services are responsive equitable and continuously improving by guiding regulatory compliance contributing to project planning and supporting the monitoring and evaluation of partnerships and agreements.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in collaborative environments understands the importance of integrated service systems and is committed to improving outcomes for children from birth to school age especially in fast-growing diverse communities like Wyndham.
This position is a full time permanent role and will require flexibility to work occasionally after hours and weekends/public holidays as required in accordance with the community and stakeholder expectations and meetings after business hours. You may be required to work at other sites across Wyndham City to meet operational and business requirements.
What your day will look like
Drive infrastructure design decisions that support high-quality early years services and align with key frameworks and guidelines
Contribute to the implementation of the Early Years Partnership Framework by delivering expert regulatory advice overseeing service agreements and managing proposals
Build and maintain strong partnerships with community organisations developers government agencies and other key stakeholders
Collaborate with the Family and Sector Partnerships team to develop and deliver clear project briefs action plans and communication strategies
Monitor service provider performance ensure budget compliance and champion continuous improvement to boost service quality and efficiency
Role model our organisational values through your actions decision-making and relationships
Take initiative and contribute to a wide range of projects and priorities that support team and organisational goals.
What you will bring
Degree or diploma course in a relevant discipline such as community development public policy public health social sciences or related field with some relevant experience or lesser formal qualifications and substantial relevant experience
Experience in developing and facilitating partnerships to build relationships to achieve joint outcomes.
Experience working collaboratively with community groups businesses and organisations to achieve joint outcomes.
A current drivers licence is required.
A current Working with Children Check is required.
