The Quality Assurance Specialist/Quality Inspector is responsible for upholding the highest quality standards across all products and processes. This role involves a combination of hands-on quality inspection systematic quality audits ongoing quality surveillance. The ideal candidate will be meticulous analytical and committed to continuous improvement.

- Coach Safety Quality and Productivity to ensure objectives are met through following standardized work
- React immediately to quality issues
- Initiate sort/purge/contain activities as needed
- Monitor and on occurrences. Be the first responder to quality concerns as they arise
- Support Continuous Improvement and coach problem resolution to the lowest level of the organization
- Communication and recognition
- Build Team Member capability
- Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities/tasks
- Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents
- Optimize outputs in accordance with budgets and cost objectives
- Identify sources of variation within a production environment effectively and efficiently
- Support concern resolution with cross-functional teams including the Quality department production and suppliers.
QualificationsYoull have...
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- 1 years of supervisory and/or manufacturing experience
- Experience in quality assurance quality inspection or a similar field.
- Knowledge of quality assurance terminology methods and tools.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft: Excel Word PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to work rotating shifts and hours including nights and weekends

- Body shop/stamping/paint/subassembly experience preferred
- Safety and Quality experience preferred
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
- Knowledge of constraint management principles
- Prior experience managing a unionized workforce
