Location:Based in Austin MN
Department:Retail Brand Fuel Team
Reports To:Digital Marketing Manager
Duration:Beginning late May and ending in Mid-August

Purpose

This internship offers hands-on experience in digital strategy content creation analytics and campaign execution within a fast-paced consumer-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning and executing digital campaigns across social media email and paid media channels.
  • Support content development for websites blogs and social platforms.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics Meta Business Suite and others.
  • Conduct competitive research and trend analysis to inform strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including brand shopper marketing and e-commerce.
  • Help manage influencer partnerships and user-generated content initiatives.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas to enhance digital engagement.

Requirements:

  • Must graduate in August 2026 December 2026 May 2027and major in Food Marketing Marketing Communications Business or a related field with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA preferred
  • Possesses strong analytical and communication skills
  • Strong interest in digital marketing and consumer behavior.
  • Creative thinker with attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and persuasive skills are necessary for success in this position
  • Possesses a strong work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Applicants must not now or at any time in the future require employer sponsorship for a work visa.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.
  • Must be comfortable with the preparation and consumption of a variety of Hormel Foods Products which may include but not limited to pork beef chicken turkey and nuts
  • This position will require access to and/or the utilization of a personal motor vehicle to get to and from the workplace.

Location and Hours:

  • Location is based out of our Corporate Office headquarters in Austin MN
  • Position is full time 40 hours per week beginning late May and ending mid-August

Compensation: The starting rate for this role is $24.00 per hour.
