Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Strategic Sourcing Specialist with experience in the oil gas or mining industry. The ideal candidate will excel in supplier management cost optimization and procurement strategies leveraging advanced Excel skills and SAP proficiency. This role focuses on identifying and securing reliable and cost-effective suppliers while supporting operational and strategic business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize costs improve quality and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Identify evaluate and onboard suppliers in alignment with company goals and compliance standards.
- Negotiate contracts terms and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
- Supplier Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure collaboration and performance.
- Monitor supplier performance and address issues related to quality delivery and pricing.
- Market Analysis & Cost Optimization
- Conduct market research to identify trends risks and opportunities in the oil gas or mining sectors.
- Analyze cost drivers and implement initiatives to achieve cost savings and operational efficiency.
- Data Management & Reporting
- Utilize SAP and Excel to manage procurement data track performance metrics and generate reports.
- Maintain accurate records of contracts supplier agreements and purchase orders.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
- Partner with engineering operations and finance teams to align sourcing activities with business objectives.
- Support inventory management and demand planning to meet project requirements.
- Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with internal policies industry regulations and sustainability standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to safeguard business continuity.
