Key Information:

• Hours: Project dependent; minimum 40 hours per week with overtime necessary during the busy season (April-October)
• Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

Job Description:

• Install shingles tiles or other roofing materials according to specifications and blueprints.
• Apply caulking and other weatherproofing materials to enhance roof durability.
• Collaborate with carpenters and other construction professionals to ensure structural integrity during installation.
• Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively for roofing tasks.
• Lift heavy materials and equipment as required throughout the workday.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety on the job site.

Experience and Certification Requirements:

• A minimum 3-5 years of proven experience as a Shingler or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Proficiency in caulking techniques and weatherproofing methods.
• Familiarity with hand tools commonly used in roofing projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
• CSTS 09 and WHMIS 2015 are required.
• Fall Protection Aerial Platform Rigging/Hoisting and Hand. Signals and First Aid/CPR certification would be an asset.
• A reliable means of transportation is required.
• A valid Drivers license is required.
• Proficient English language skills required.

Education: Completion of High School or equivalent required.
