Job Description:

  • As Asia Enterprise Infrastructure Head the incumbent will be responsible for building and leading the Enterprise Infrastructure teams across Sun Lifes Asian markets. The role is responsible for all aspects of Enterprise Infrastructure including operating the Asia Data Center the in-country data centers the voice and data networks and the employee experience technologies for all of Sun Lifes employees in Asia.

    The individual in this role is expected to build highly engaged teams who will partner and work with various Business groupsInfrastructure groups locally and globally and ensure the delivery ofbest in class IT services that meet or exceed the committed service levels. The role will ensure that the service management process are implemented and observed diligently and all the global regional and country Infrastructure programs are delivered on time and budget while maintaining financial and risk management discipline.

    The Asia Enterprise Infrastructure Head will play an important role in shaping and implementing Sun Lifes technology strategy for Asia and become an active participant in delivering the Digital Transformation roadmap.

Preferred skills (heading) / Comptences particulires (titre)

  • In depth knowledge of technologies like Windows/Unix server management web hosting (middleware administration) telephony administration end user computing collaboration technologies network services (LAN/WAN) management storage management database and middleware etc.
  • Strong understanding and experience of service management processes (ITIL certification)
  • Experience with Information Security processes and tools
  • Good experience in various tools and utilities required for IT infrastructure support (ServiceNow)
  • Experience with public cloud technologies and cloud transition programs
  • Experience in application portfolio management with 24x7 support
  • Excellent program/project management skills
  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle developer support tools DevOps

  • People Management Talent management career development and planning back up and succession planning progression and promotions compensation management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications (heading) / Comptences (titre)

  • Computer Science or Engineering graduate
  • PMP/ITIL certification
  • Technical certifications from reputable organizations like IBM Oracle Sun Microsoft Amazon
  • 15 years of proven experience and leadership skills and ability to develop & drive the overall IT Infrastructure strategy and delivery operations across all offices in Asia.
  • Experience of working in a regulated industry (Financial Services Telco)
  • Experience in building teams working in IT infrastructure management using wide range of technologies
  • Experience in managing virtual team in a matrix organization across time zones
  • Experience in managing complex internal and stakeholder relationships
  • Strong vendor management

  • Infrastructure strategic planning maintenance planning execution and monitoring
  • Plan manage and implement infrastructure projects system rollouts and upgrades
  • ITIL Service Management (Service Level Incident Problem Change Configuration Capacity Management)
  • DR and business continuity planning from IT infrastructure perspective
  • Monitoring/identification of trends in usage traffic storage
  • Service Desk issues management. Knowledge Management
  • IT infrastructure budget planning management and governance
  • Employee Technology Experience support Desktop/laptop Telephony Email Audio/Video Conference
  • Network operations management
  • Liaise with external suppliers and support agencies for procurement ongoing support and maintenance of relevant hardware and software
  • People Leadership for Asia Enterprise Infrastructure support

  • Recruitment planning strategy and execution across team

  • Retention strategy across the team
