Job Summary:
The Distribution Quality Inspector is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing the quality and safety of utility distribution systems. This includes inspecting power lines transformers substations and associated equipment to ensure compliance with industry regulations and maintain the reliability of essential infrastructure. The inspector will lead inspections enforce safety procedures and provide technical solutions.
Location: Chamblee Georgia United States
Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct detailed inspections of distribution systems.
- Enforce strict safety procedures and conduct safety training.
- Maintain detailed inspection records including photos measurements and test results.
- Identify and document defects or non-compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Use advanced testing and diagnostic equipment to evaluate distribution assets.
- Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings with stakeholders.
- Partner with maintenance and operations teams to prioritize and schedule repairs.
- Maintain expert knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze inspection data and identify trends to recommend process improvements.
- Provide guidance to junior staff and lead training programs.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 10 15 years of experience in utility distribution quality inspection lineman or powerline work.
- Expertise in electrical distribution systems substations and safety protocols.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements especially NESC.
- Proficient in the use of advanced testing and measurement equipment.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and observational skills.
- Excellent documentation and report-writing abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration capabilities.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelor s degree in a related field.

Scheduling:
- 2 5 days per week (not guaranteed 5 days).
- Daylight hours (7 AM 6 PM).
- 10 40 hours weekly.
