Job Summary:
The Distribution Field Specialist is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operation and maintenance of utility distribution systems. This role requires in-depth technical knowledge leadership skills and hands-on field experience to ensure the reliability safety and efficiency of the distribution network.

Responsibilities:
- Lead field inspections to assess the condition of distribution assets.
- Identify potential issues and recommend maintenance or upgrades.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies for transformers power lines substations and other equipment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for complex service interruptions and outages.
- Apply advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to resolve issues quickly.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
- Implement safety programs and conduct regular audits.
- Oversee distribution asset lifecycle management including replacement relocation and upgrades.
- Maintain accurate asset records.
- Provide guidance to junior field specialists.
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on complex technical challenges.
- Analyze field data to optimize performance and support long-term planning.
- Generate detailed reports on inspections maintenance and system performance.
- Address escalated customer inquiries and provide timely updates on maintenance or service interruptions.
- Utilize advanced software and field tools to track maintenance activities and report on asset performance.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and ensure the distribution network meets all compliance standards.
- Mentor and train junior field specialists to support professional growth.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Energy Management or related field.
- 10 15 years of experience in field operations asset management and distribution system maintenance within the utility or energy sector.
- Advanced knowledge of distribution systems equipment and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in advanced field inspection tools and software.
- Exceptional problem-solving analytical and technical skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
- Excellent safety record with a deep understanding of protocols and regulations.
