Position DescriptionThe Assistant to the Assistant Director plays a vital role in supporting the Assistant Director and the Lower School administrative team to ensure the effective and efficient achievement of the schools mission and annual goals. This position also oversees select school-wide administrative initiatives and provides essential support to staff students and Duties and ResponsibilitiesLower School Administrative SupportServe as a key point of contact in the Main Office assisting staff students and issues of concern to the Assistant Director and/or school disciplinary interventions when appropriate ensuring students in the office remain on task and engaged in assigned alternative assignments when needed and communicate outcomes of office visits to teachers and the severity of student infractions and escalate cases requiring administrative uniform infraction forms and assign consequences for minor to moderate knowledge of school policies and procedures and enforce them when phone calls mail and visitors directing them to the appropriate communication between teachers and the Assistant Management & Administrative TasksOversee the projector check-out process and manage building locker and execute administrative projects assigned by the leadership team including:Mailing attendance and suspension noticesPreparing academic documents and reportsSupporting academic concern meetings and student incentive programsMonitor faculty/staff sign-in/out sheets and report concerns to the Assistant the Assistant Directors calendar and and monitor summer purchase orders and oversee submission to the business detentions and communicate attendance to the detention IT and Facilities Help Desk tickets as administrative coverage at before- and after-school events as with sorting filing data collection and organization of the morning announcements process in collaboration with school Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesAbility to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and oral and written communication to consistently support and uphold school policies and experience in managing projects and ensuring timely with Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent) with advanced document formatting with Student Information Management organizational planning and problem-solving attention to detail and judgment and decision-making adaptable and collaborative team DetailsThis is a full-time 12-month position.
