About The Role:

• The position provides Pastoral Care Services to patients families significant others and staff of the Mater Hospital Sydney.
• The position will work within the framework of the Mission Vision Values and Philosophy of St Vincents Health Australia. The position will maintain personal and professional standards in accordance with the Code of Ethics for Pastoral Care in Health Care Settings and the Code of Conduct of SVHA.
  

About You:

• Recognised qualification/training in Pastoral / Spiritual Care. Minimum of 2 units (or working towards completion) in Clinical Pastoral Education.
• Tertiary qualifications in counselling theology psychology or equivalent or a combination of study and work experience.
• Understanding of Clinical Pastoral issues and employment experience in a health care or other complex setting.
• Understanding of Catholic tradition and the sacraments of the Catholic Church.
• Valid unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.

About The Mater:

In this role you will be based at the Mater hospital North Sydney.

• One of Sydneys premier private hospitals.
• Close by to train stations at North Sydney St Leonards and Crows Nest and buses on Pacific Highway.
• The only Australian hospital that is a member of the International Society of Orthopaedic Centres.
• Core specialties include Obstetrics Orthopaedics including hip and knee joint replacements bone and sports injuries cardiology cancer care and surgery lung and vascular medicine ear nose and throat surgery urology endocrine surgery and neurosurgery.
