Job Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Loads and/or unloads trucks totes drums and railcars as required
- Performs lab analysis as required
- Prints Bills of Lading and Certificates of Analysis as required
- Operates the plant-specific chemical process systems as needed
- Operates forklift and pay loader as needed
- Measure and record accurate product process and safety data.
- Performs lab analysis as required
- Meet the physical requirements of the position including walking standing or sitting for extended periods lifting heavy objects climbing crouching operating tools and wearing safety gear
- Must be able to interface courteously with customers via telephone during night/weekend hours when needed; good basic people skills
- Observe all company local state and federal safety and quality regulations
- Adheres to all ISO standard operating procedures
- Attends monthly safety meetings and required training seminars
- Performs other duties as required/assigned by Plant Manager Immediate Supervisor or Transportation Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED required
- More education or experience in a related field may be required
- Understanding of chemical process
- Aptitude for mechanics
- Ability to read and comprehend detailed specifications basic computer skills
- Must be able to perform several mental tasks simultaneously
- Experience working with front-end loaders may be preferred or required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Perform physical activities that require frequent climbing of stairs and ladders and working around industrial equipment.
- Must be able to wear and work in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
- Lifting could include objects up to 50 pounds.
