Job Position:Plasma Operator
Location:Catoosa OK 74015
Pay Rate:$24.00/hr
Shift:6:00 AM 6:00 PM MondayFriday
Type:Temp to Hire
We are currently seeking a skilledPlasma Operatorfor a well-established manufacturing company inCatoosa OK that specializes inshell and tube heat exchangerspressure vesselstowers and otherheat transfer components. ThePlasma Operatorwill work with an advanced8-axis Voortman CNC plasma cutting system playing a critical role in ensuring material is accurately processed for fabrication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate an8-axis Voortman plasma robotusing bothconsole and handheld remotes
- Read and interpretblueprintsandfabrication drawings
- Make accurate decisions to ensure material is processed correctly forfabrication needs
- Measure parts usingtape measuresdial calipersmicrometers anddial indicators
- Removeslagusinggrinderschatter guns andfiles
- Operateoverhead cranesandforkliftsto move and load materials
- Performlight fabrication tasksincludingweldingcuttingtorching anddrillingfor maintenance and root fixes
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of CNC plasma machine experience
- 1 year in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Strongproblem-solvingandorganizational skills
- Solid understanding ofsteel fabrication processes
- Ability to followtechnical instructionsand communicate withrobot supportas needed
- Safety-focuseddependable and willing to workovertime
