The Channel Business Operations Specialist focuses on implementing new and streamlining existing processes related to interactions with channel partners often involving sales marketing or other business channels. This is an individual contributor role that is part of the Business Process Operations team. They operate as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) overseeing and enabling business processes via world-class tools that drive company success.
The Business Process Operations team has resources spread across the Americas EMEA and APAC regions primarily remote base employees to ensure follow-the-sun coverage. The role requires a certain level of flexibility in the working hours to maximize interactions with business stakeholders. Very sporadically weekend coverage is required when supporting large scale system changes and is compensated by time off in-lieu.
What You Will Be Doing:
Performs system/s configuration tasks in support of Sales Business Processes for assigned applications with focus in Channel systems.
Owns documentation for assigned systems and/or processes mappings including managing script/template library.
Besides documentation ensures delivery of tools/processes enablement across business function including demo recordings and train the trainer sessions. Manages requests from business users for queries/issues related to Channel and other assigned systems and/or processes.
Approved IT Requestor for Enhancements and Projects. Captures requirements from Business stakeholders defines acceptance criteria and performs UAT.
Oversees project lifecycle for Channel system/s change including tool expansion migration and/or replacement.
Tracks adoption usage and compliance for Channel processes and systems.
Maintains high-level awareness of all direct team systems and processes outside of Channel systems SME area.
Keeps up to date with new technologies and industry trends for area of expertise and leverages it to drive continual Channel systems improvement.
To Be Successful in The Role You Will Have:
Possess a bachelors degree in business or computer related field of study.
5 years experience managing multi-tiered partner eco system tools/processes for a software or hi-tech company operating globally. Additional Sales operations or partner program management experience is a plus.
Proven track record of designing and implementing new Channel-focused business processes and/or tooling that have led to improved business outcomes.
Proven track record of successfully leading change initiatives including system migrations and/or integration across global business processes and/or systems andinvolving multi-layered (eg Distributor Reseller Implementation Partner) Channel structures.
A minimum of 5 years advanced experience specifically with Salesforce Sales partner-focused Experience Cloud and ancillary applications. Ideally you will hold the Salesforce Admin Certification and have worked with channel solutions including EDI and partner web stores like AppDirect.
Excellent interpersonal skills ability to communicate effectively with individual contributors teams and positively influence at management level across departments (both one-to-one and one-to-many).
A creative thinker with analytical mindset and problem-solving skills. Able to assess challenge and improve effectiveness of current strategies practices and systems.
Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to handle various tasks with attention to detail and also flexibility in order to achieve the intended business goals.
Proven ability to manage change and diffuse difficult situations.
High level of dependability and integrity; solid team player but also highly autonomous. Able to self-motivate and prioritize effectively.
Equipped with Admin Certification/s for assigned tools such as CRM CPQ etc.
Experience applying AI-based tools or solutions (e.g. for automation analytics or workflow optimization) to enhance efficiency and business outcomes is a plus.
Supervisory experience in Channel Operations is a plus.
