So what does a Finance Manager really do Think of yourself as someone who will be responsible for the monthly reconciliation of VAT FBT and EWT accounts so not just anyone is qualified for this role. We make sure we get the best of the best after all we are a ridiculously good company so we make sure our employees are top notch. Now we need your full concentration because its time to imagine what its like being a Finance Manager.

Imagine yourself going to work with one thing on your mind: that you will be in charge of PEZA/Tax/LGU Compliance financial statement reporting and Finance initiatives. As you tackle your new tasks for the day you know that it comes down to one thing: that you will coordinate with external auditors/counsel for any tax/compliance-related matters.

As a Finance Manager you will:

Accounting Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Manage planning and execution of month end close activities

• Review and approve journals flux/variance analyses and reconciliations

• Prepare analyze and report complete financial statements to top management

• Manage planning and completion of year-end audit activities. Review audited financial statements and ensure 0 audit findings

• Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes

• Drive implementation of initiative strategies and policies to ensure attainment of goals

Process Improvements

• Review Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for any errors and/or issues encountered and implement appropriate solutions

• Manage and drive implementation of process improvements involving multiple functions to enable efficient and effective end-to-end process that will result to improvement in productivity

• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results across different sites and/or geographies highlighting to management financial risk/opportunities and driving actions to address those risks and seize opportunities.

Internal Control

• Provide recommendations assist in the creation and implement SOX compliant policies and internal controls

• Ensure the creation and proper maintenance of accounting standard operating procedures (SOPs) which are in accordance with company accounting policies

Leadership

• Lead and manage the Accounting team

• Drive and lead direct reports to perform their responsibilities effectively and efficiently

• Drive enable and motivate the team to achieve individual departmental and company short and long term goals

• Develop direct reports to achieve their maximum potential by providing right tools training direction coaching/mentoring and timely feedback

Stakeholder Management

• Drive the team to achieve Service Level Agreements and target KPIs

• Perform regular stakeholder engagement call providing update on monthly performance based on defined KPIs special projects - going above and beyond SLA and issue resolution if any

• Ensure all issues/action raised are addressed and drive solutions to prevent future similar issues

• Address stakeholder satisfaction survey action items

Do you have what it takes to become a Finance Manager

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Accountancy

• Certified Public Accountant

• Advanced knowledge in Excel formulas and functions

• Advanced knowledge in General Accounting best practices and Financial Analysis

• Strong knowledge in International Accounting Standards

• International exposure to different local GAAP such as PH US MX CO IN TW JPN UK CA GR and IR

• Project management experience. Successfully designed and implemented a major project that resulted in process efficiency or enhanced controls

• Presentation skills

• 8 years of experience in any of the following roles: Finance & Accounting Audit (Internal & External)

• 3 years of experience in supervisory role
