Tax Accountant Business Tax Services Private Client Services (Senior) (Multiple Positions) (1636741)
Provide tailored tax and financial planning advice for private entities including C-Corps S-Corps and Partnerships as well as individuals/families with ultra-high net worth. Work with high growth private companies including family-owned and private equity-owned businesses and companies ranging from start-ups to multi-billion dollar global businesses. Balance time between compliance and planning serving as a trusted advisor. Research tax issues to develop effective tax planning strategies. Translate complex data from a variety of sources into client-ready deliverables. Communicate complex tax issues to non-tax professionals.
Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with team members with diverse skills and backgrounds. Consistently deliver quality client services focusing on more complex judgmental and/or specialized issues. Demonstrate technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Learn about EY and its service lines and actively assess and present ways to apply knowledge and services.
Full time employment Monday Friday 40 hours per week 8:30 am 5:30 pm.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance Economics Tax Law or a related field and 2 years of work experience in Tax and/or Financial Planning. Alternatively will accept a Masters degree in Accounting Finance Economics Tax Law or related field and 1 year of work experience in Tax and/or Financial Planning.
Must have 1 year of experience in a professional services firm or mid-sized/regional to large sized/national public accounting firm.
Must have 1 year of experience in 3 or more of the following: federal and state personal and trust taxation; flow through entities (S-Corps Partnerships and LLCs); C-Corps including income tax provisions and consolidated federal and state tax returns; and/or high net-worth tax planning.
Must have 1 year of experience in conducting tax law research.
Must have 1 year of experience in one of the following automated tax processing systems: GoSystems CS Planner Excel and/or Checkpoint SurePrep.
Must have 1 year of experience delegating work to junior tax professionals and reviewing their drafts.
