Position Title: Assistant Manager - Sales

Division / Function: Asia Logistics

Location: Singapore

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Assistant Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business opportunities maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring high-quality service delivery with a primary focus on wine logistics and a secondary emphasis on spirits. This role requires a blend of sales acumen client relationship management and sector expertise particularly in duty-free and licensed warehouse environments. The position directly contributes to expanding market share securing renewals and building trusted partnerships across the global beverage supply chain.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in the wine sector (core focus) and spirits through outreach to potential customers referrals and retail engagement. Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals tailored to client needs.
  • Negotiate and close contracts that meet profitability targets.
  • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to design strategies that increase revenue and expand market presence.
  • Handle client inquiries ensuring timely responses and effective solutions.
  • Manage and maintain existing accounts ensuring contract renewals and long-term customer retention.
  • Provide accurate quotations for new services and oversee after-sales support.
  • Foster close collaboration with market customers to strengthen relationships and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
  • Monitor client satisfaction and resolve issues promptly to maintain a high level of trust and service quality.

Previous Work Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Business Logistics Supply Chain Management International Trade or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in Business development. Account management preferably within Logistics duty free or wine and beverage industry.
  • Proven track record in managing client portfolios securing renewals and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong knowledge of wine logistics licensed warehouses and duty-free products; understanding of tobacco supply chains will be a significant advantage.
  • Established industry network in wine or beverage logistics preferred.
  • Excellent communication presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Multilingual proficiency is highly advantageous.
  • Self-motivated results-driven and passionate about the wine and beverage industry.
