In this position you will play a vital role within the business team leading the execution of autonomous vehicle pilots. You will be a crucial leader on the ground directly overseeing the human operators who are essential to our daily service. This role is a blend of people management operational planning and incident response focusing on the safe and efficient execution of our AV missions. You will report to the Head of Grabcab and Strategic projects in our One North office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Serve as the primary supervisor for our team of safety supervisors in-vehicle safety drivers and remote operators. Your main responsibility is to ensure they are performing their duties safely and effectively during daily operations.
Manage all aspects of driver and operator scheduling including shift assignments and timekeeping. Collaborate with hiring and training teams on the hiring onboarding and continuous training of all operational staff
Oversee all on-site depot operations. This includes managing the efficient parking charging and staging of autonomous vehicles to ensure they are mission-ready. You will supervise depot staff and ensure all activities are performed safely.
Establish track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs). You will be responsible for the continuous monitoring of performance metrics such as safety and uptime identifying trends and generating insights for improvement
Develop and implement operational playbooks standard operating procedures (SOPs) and performance metrics (KPIs) for the fleet.
Oversee all real-time fleet monitoring including vehicle status remote telemetry and mission progress ensuring adherence to service levels.
Serve as a PoC for all in-field events including vehicle-level faults collisions or unexpected autonomous system behavior.
Develop refine and execute rapid-response protocols ensuring the safety of the public passengers and company assets.
Qualifications :
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- Diploma or Degree holders
5 years of experience in operations logistics transportation or fleet management
Technical knowledge or direct experience with autonomous vehicles robotics or IoT deployments is a plus
Demonstrated experience supervising drivers operators or a field-based team is required
Familiarity with safety management systems and risk assessment methodologies
Able to work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder-management skills
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
Strong spoken and written communication skills
