Job Description

Position Summary: SPED Tutor (Long Term Sub) The role of the Special Education Tutor is to aid in providing academic instruction and behavioral programming for students in collaboration with team members. The Tutor will coordinate with classroom teachers to ensure students are progressing with the curriculum. Key Duties & Responsibilities:Aid in planning and providing academic instruction in collaboration with other members of the team;Assist in planning and providing behavioral programming for assigned students in collaboration with other members of the team;Communicates and coordinates with direction from the School Adjustment CounselorRecord and summarize data;Write progress notes;AcademicWork collaboratively with team members;Modify the curriculum/expectations to meet students needs and skill level to insure successful academic experiences when a student returns from a leave of absence;Actively participate in ongoing training;Work with grade level teams to facilitate the student returning from being out of school;Perform other job related duties as assigned by the Principal Director of Student Services or posting is to fill a leave of absence from approximately: August - December
