Job Description

Job Summary
The Director of Sales for Refined Fuel Trucks is responsible for driving sales strategies business development and revenue growth within Refined Fuel Trucks Division. This role focuses on establishing strong relationships with key clients and developing innovative approaches to increase market share and profitability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the fuel trucks sector combined with a strong background in sales and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and Execute Sales Strategies: Formulate and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the companys objectives focusing on new business development and client retention.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities within the fuel trucks sector including expansion into new geographies and sectors developing long-term partnerships with key industry players.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
  • Market Analysis and Competitive Intelligence: Monitor market trends competitor activities and customer needs to adjust strategies and stay ahead in the market.
  • Sales Forecasting and Budgeting: Develop sales forecasts set performance targets and manage the departments budget to optimize resource allocation and profitability.
  • Negotiation and Closing: Lead high-level negotiations and close major deals while ensuring that all contracts meet company standards and goals.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as Engineering Operations Marketing and Finance to ensure alignment on product offerings pricing strategies and market initiatives.
  • Reporting and KPIs: Track sales performance and report regularly to senior management on key performance indicators including revenue targets pipeline health and client feedback.
Skills and Experience Required
  • 7-10 years of experience in sales roles within the fuel trucks sector.
  • Strong knowledge of the industry including trends key players and regulatory environment.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Excellent leadership communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement sales plans.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Technical understanding of fuel trucks and related products.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast and analyze market trends.
  • This position involves regular direct communications and interactions with customers. Accordingly this role requires excellent two-way verbal and written communication skills including expertise in listening skills conflict resolution skills follow-up skills etc.
Travel Requirements
Regular travel is required and is expected to be a minimum of 10 per year (usually for 2 to 3 days per occurrence).
Office Location / Report To
The Director of Sales Refined Fuel Trucks is required to office at SkyMark Headquarters in Kansas City MO and reports to the Chief Commercial Officer. As an alternative a remote location may be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates with the expectation of regular travel to headquarters and customer sites.
SkyMark Refuelers is a market leading manufacturer of custom work trucks serving the aviation refueling liquid waste removal hi-rail maintenance direct-to-locomotive refueling and refined fuel delivery industries. With its headquarters in Kansas City Missouri SkyMark also operates a world-class aviation refueler facility in Findlay Ohio along with a tank plant in Sullivan Illinois.
