The College of Education and Human Services (COEHS) coordinator recruitment and advising supports students in making satisfactory progress toward their degree plans and collaborates with Department Chairs the Assistant Dean and faculty to coordinate recruiting events within the community and local school districts.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators
The intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and level of responsibility that will be required of positions given this title. Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Assists in marketing for COEHS programs
- Collaborates with the Assistant Dean Department Chairs and faculty to develop implement assess and annually update a comprehensive recruitment plan for COEHS program
- Travels to high schools job fairs and other events to speak/meet with prospective students
- Assists in organizing and participating in special events for the college (orientation training information sessions)
- Advises undergraduate transfer and graduate students
- Serves as a liaison between the LU Professional Advising and the COEHS faculty and staff
- Ensures accurate and updated program plans for COEHS students
- Shares front-facing office duties including meeting with students answering questions and responding to inquiries
- Meets on campus with prospective students as requested by Admissions or Athletics
- Serves as the advisor for the COEHS Student Advisory Council
- Assists students in using FolioTek and other data management systems
- Assists in data collection and data reports
Service Excellence
- Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
- Models supports and holds others accountable to the universitys values integrity dedication excellence creativity and teamwork
- Recruits undergraduate and graduate students and serves as an intake advisor for them as needed
Communication Teamwork and Collaboration
- Responds to the needs of students and colleagues in a timely and courteous manner
- Engages collaboratively with colleagues and students

Required Qualifications An equivalent combination of education training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Bachelors degree
- Masters degree preferred
- Minimum of two years relevant job experience in advising or recruitment is preferred
