Job Description

Job Title: Telephone Banker Inbound Call Center (1st & 2nd Shift)
Location: Belfast ME (Onsite)
Positions Available: 8
Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
Shifts:

  • 1st Shift: Monday Tuesday Friday & Saturday 9:00 am 8:00 pm

  • 2nd Shift: Monday Friday 11:30 am 8:00 pm
    Attendance Policy: Strict 47-day attendance policy; time off during training must be pre-approved by your manager.

Position Summary

Seeking dedicated Telephone Bankers to connect clients with a full range of bank solutions and help them achieve financial goals. You will balance customer service and sales providing subject matter expertise on financial products handling inquiries and ensuring client satisfaction in a dynamic inbound call center environment. This role offers opportunities for growth learning and making a real impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and deepen client relationships by identifying financial needs and recommending appropriate products and services.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and concerns creating immediate and effective solutions.

  • Promote and fulfill banking products (checking savings credit cards CDs IRAs loans).

  • Identify client needs for licensed sales and refer to business partners as appropriate.

  • Quote rates terms and programs for banking solutions.

  • Manage risk and remain compliant with all business policies and regulations.

  • Leverage available tools to deliver excellent customer service on every call.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Passion for delivering an exceptional customer experience and improving clients financial lives.

  • Ability to engage with clients understand their needs and communicate solutions clearly and empathetically.

  • Curious and growth-oriented mindset open to feedback and ongoing coaching.

  • Adaptable and comfortable with change and new technology/processes.

  • Intermediate proficiency in using computers.

  • Minimum education: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.

Preferred/Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience in financial services or banking.

  • Sales cross-selling upselling or product referral experience.

  • Experience in inbound or outbound call center environments (phone chat or video).

  • Experience managing high client volumes especially as a Personal Banker.

  • Relationship-building customer service and telephone sales

  • Active listening rapport building trust establishment

  • Problem-solving issue management and referral sales

  • Multitasking and oral communication

  • Overcoming objections and gaining agreement

Additional Information:
