The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms patients instruments and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice act. The dental assistant may also mix filling compounds take impressions of teeth and provide patients with postoperative instructions. Candidates should have a commitment to a proactive approach to workplace safety while taking a diplomatic and professional approach to customer interactions. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations sterilizes and disinfects instruments and equipment and takes dental radiographs.
- Obtains and updates patients dental records; prepares lays out instruments and materials required to treat each patient.
- Provides chairside assistance to the dentist.
- Instructs patients on postoperative and general oral healthcare.
- Prepares materials for impressions and restorations
- May remove sutures; apply topical anesthetics to gums or cavity-preventive agents to teeth.
- Orders and maintains inventory of supplies.
- Performs clerical functions related to dental activities.
- Completes required organizational compliance education including assigned requirements that are client-specified for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Qualifications :
Basic Requirements/Certifications:
- Minimum two (2) years of experience preferred.
- Dental support staff should have recent clinical experience in patient care for at least six months out of the past year. Training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
Education Required:
- Current & unrestricted license or authorizing document from any US State District of Columbia or US Territory to provide healthcare within scope of practice
- Completion of an approved Dental Assistant course in the U.S High school diploma or country of origin equivalent
- Certification by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) or equivalent preferred.
- Current dental radiology license required based in licensing state.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
- Must be able to read write & speak English to effectively communicate
- This position is unaccompanied.
- US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card is required.
- US DOD CNACI or the ability to obtain one is required.
- A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation.

Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicants background experience skills internal equity and alignment with geographical market data.
