Schedule: Day Shift 5 8 Hours (07:30 16:00) Monday Friday
Start Date: 12/01/2025 (ASAP acceptable due to biweekly orientation)
The Medical Assistant will support the Rheumatology outpatient clinic within Providence Health & Services. This role is primarily based in Seattle but requires the MA to travel to the Bellevue clinic as needed. Responsibilities include patient rooming vitals administering injections reviewing labs documentation support authorization forms and standard rheumatology outpatient workflows. MA-C is required and candidates must have reliable transportation.
This position accepts first-time travelers and requires a minimum of 6 months of MA experience.
Responsibilities:Room patients verify medications allergies and medical histories.
Obtain vital signs height/weight and pulse oximetry.
Administer injections including intramuscular intradermal immunizations and TB tests.
Perform point-of-care testing including blood glucose via glucometer.
Review and follow up on lab tests as directed by providers.
Prepare exam rooms and equipment for physician evaluation.
Process authorization forms manage chart preparation and perform insurance verification.
Handle pharmacy calls refill requests and follow-up patient phone calls.
Support scheduling tasks and ordering/stocking clinic supplies.
Collect and accurately label laboratory specimens.
Travel to Bellevue clinic for coverage as needed.
Maintain documentation within EPIC (preferred).
Must have reliable personal transportation (public transportation not sufficient).
Must be open to working at Bellevue clinic (th Ave NE Suite B250) as required.
MA-C required - pending licenses not accepted.
Outpatient adult clinic experience preferred.
RTO must be submitted at time of submission.
No weekends on-call or block scheduling required.
Ability to support administrative and clinical responsibilities simultaneously.
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program (required).
Minimum 6 months Medical Assistant experience (required).
Adult outpatient clinic experience (preferred).
First-time travelers accepted.
