Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team in Scarborough United Kingdom. As a Catering Assistant you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality food service and maintaining a clean efficient kitchen environment.
- Assist in the preparation of delicious meals snacks and beverages
- Prepare Salads
- Serve food to customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen counter and dining areas
- Adhere to all health and safety standards and food safety procedures
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations
- Assist with food inventory management and stock rotation
- Operate kitchen equipment and utensils safely and efficiently
- Contribute to menu planning and suggest improvements when appropriate
- Provide excellent customer service and address any customer inquiries or concerns
- Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge
Qualifications :
- Strong salad preparation skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in food service
- Excellent cleaning and hygiene practices
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and tasks
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Previous experience in food service or catering is preferred
- Food safety certification is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent
