Minor Hotels is excited to announce a newly created opportunity for a Senior Central Systems Manager to join our dynamic IT team in Brisbane. This pivotal role offers the chance to make a significant impact by driving efficient process management identifying opportunities for improvement and ensuring the prompt resolution of challenges across key projects undertaken by Minor Hotels ANZ.
This position is perfect for a proactive professional looking to shape and enhance systems that support our operations on a national scale all while contributing to the growth and success of a global leader in the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Advise in the configuration and optimisation of Oracle OPERA Cloud Oracle OPERA Reservation System (ORS/OCIS) and Opera Web Service (OWS).
- Ensure seamless integration of Property Management Systems with commercial and operational processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve existing processes driving efficiency and innovation across IT and operational workflows.
- Leverage data insights to recommend enhancements to support strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with directors executives and managers to understand business needs and deliver system solutions aligned with organisational goals.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of Hotel Operations and the Management Letting Rights business in Australia to align systems with operational requirements.
- Manage IT-related projects to completion meeting scope time and quality benchmarks.
- Stay updated on global distribution systems and commercial processes ensuring alignment with international best practices.

Qualifications :
- Experience in the management of a housekeeping team;
- Experience controlling and maintaining budgets all operating supplies replacements and consumables;
- Proven experience in managing staff with a strong ability to lead mentor and motivate a high-performing team to achieve departmental goals and maintain exceptional service standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent time management and organisational skills;
- Strong eye for detail and ability to follow procedures and set the standard for cleanliness.
- Flexibility and availability to work evenings weekends and other peak periods as required demonstrating commitment to meeting the needs of the business and ensuring smooth operations.
