Job Description

Visas Corporate Functions People Team is seeking an experienced Senior Director People Business Partner to support a number of sub-functions of the Global Finance Organization.  The successful candidate for this role is client centric and comfortable navigating challenging forces in a fast-paced dynamic payments space within an ever-changing environment. This individual will also be a key member of the Corporate Functions People team and work closely with their counterparts for successful planning and delivery of People programs and services to the business. They will operate as a trusted advisor and business partner to executives and to other members of the companys senior management team functioning as the expert on people and organizational issues.

  • Develop and implement strategic People plans aligned to Finances functions business strategy and objectives.
  • Serve as a strategic business partner to Finance senior leadership focused on a broad-based transformational talent agenda designed to recruit develop and retain the very best innovative talent in the business.
  • Provide strategic partnership in the areas of organizational design organizational development and all people planning activities including succession planning talent management employee engagement and change management to support delivery of the Finance business strategy objectives and key results. 
  • Build performance management capabilities by coaching leaders to enhance the capability of people leaders effectively address performance issues and deliver effective feedback.
  • Partner with the People Team Centers of Expertise to deliver People Solutions to the business including annual performance and compensation review talent management and development engagement survey and action plans employee relations and workforce planning.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives and build capabilities needed to achieve the stated vision and strategy.
  • Ensure that policy and advice to client group is in accordance with employment law Visa strategy and best practice.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.


Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications
12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD) or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
15 or more years of experience with a Bachelors Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD or MD) PhD with 9 years of experience
12 years of human resources leadership with exposure to an innovative agile business one that continues to reinvent their business proposition. Industry is open with a preference for a global technology company. Multi-company experience known for HR excellence is strongly preferred.
15-18 years of successful business partnership at an executive level with proven success in developing and implementing People strategies to drive and support business strategy.
Experience in a growing global business and positive reputation for working effectively across all levels of an organization.


Additional Information :

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 188400.00 to 273250.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical Dental Vision 401 (k) FSA/HSA Life Insurance Paid Time Off and Wellness Program.
