The Role: Customer Service Clerk

As a Customer Service Clerk you will play a critical role in enhancing the customer experience. The primary responsibility of this position is to deliver exceptional customer service and support by adhering to the banks standard operating procedures (SOPs).

By doing so youll help ensure the smooth running of ABSAs customer services centre while maintaining the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

Your main duties will include:

  • Customer Service: You will be responsible for addressing customer inquiries efficiently accurately and with courtesy. Responding to all customer service matters complaints and requests promptly will be a vital part of your role.
  • Support for Customer Services Centre Processes: You will support the development and maintenance of customer service processes. This includes adhering to all processes and continuously looking for opportunities to improve client servicing procedures within the centre.
  • Risk and Compliance Management: You will be responsible for ensuring that all customer service activities comply with the companys risk management policies and procedures as well as any relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Management: Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with relevant stakeholders will be crucial. Youll need to stay up to date with their needs and issues responding rapidly and effectively.
  • Self-Development: Taking ownership of your training and development is important. Proactively enhancing your skills will be essential to your success in the role.

Requirements

Educational Requirements:

To apply for the Customer Service Clerk Vacancy you need to meet the following qualifications:

  • Further Education and Training Certificate (FETC): The minimum educational requirement for this role is a certificate in Business Commerce and Management Studies.

Other Requirements:

  • Location: You must reside in Christiana as this is the jobs designated location.
  • Experience: While experience in customer service is beneficial the compamy encourages those with the right attitude and a passion for customer service to apply.
