Job Description

Role: Customer Service Representative

Priority Location: South Africa

Working Hours: 35 - 40 hours per week (EST)

Salary Range: $1500 - $2000

Type of contract: Independent Contractor

Type of job: Remote

About the Role: This role is crucial for building and maintaining strong customer relationships by serving as the primary point of contact and managing the entire order lifecycle from start to finish. You will provide cross-functional support and maintain data accuracy to ensure seamless operations between customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate is a proactive detail-oriented professional who excels at solving problems and is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer relationships proactively managing accounts addressing inquiries and maintaining a knowledge base of products and services.
  • Provide cross-functional support to the Sales and Finance teams assisting with document requests sample fulfillment and past-due invoice reminders
  • Manage the entire customer order lifecycle from processing and tracking each order to acting as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams.
  • Maintain proactive customer communication providing timely updates on order status and addressing any changes or issues with delivery dates.
  • Maintain data accuracy by managing and updating sales records forecasts and customer information within ERP/CRM systems.
  • Generate key reports and customer quotes by collaborating with the sales team to provide timely and accurate information on forecasts backlogs and open orders
  • Resolve customer issues by serving as the main point of contact for complaints related to orders deliveries or product quality.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to research and resolve issues effectively ensuring overall customer satisfaction.


Qualifications:

Required

  • Experience in MS Word Excel HubSpot CRM or similar CRM tools data entry
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a customer service role within a manufacturing environment (plastics preferred)
  • Reliable internet connection and personal laptop/desktop setup
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Demonstrates professional and effective communication skills maintaining a courteous clear and professional phone manner with both customers and colleagues

Preferred

  • Bachelor s degree in Business/related field
  • Experience in a manufacturing or related environment
  • Exposure to IQMS / Enterprise IQ ERP system is advantageous
