Job Description
Job Title: Cloud Engineer Azure and/or OCI
Location: Lisbon Portugal
Work Regime: Full-time & Hybrid (3x office per week)
Overview / Summary:
We are looking for a Cloud Engineer Azure and/or OCI to join our team in a project from the banking sector. You ll be accountable for Cloud infrastructure implementation configuration and collaboration with our architects you ll code and deploy the solutions as well as operate and support solutions in an efficient secured and controlled way.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Delivering maintaining and optimizing Cloud Platforms (mainly Azure) and related infrastructure network database and middleware capabilities to support and enable the development and operations of Cloud modules and solutions;
- Implementing Cloud solutions understanding their impact on the associated infrastructure network and ensuring the availability of supporting and enabling infrastructure from internal or external service provider;
- Monitoring maintaining and supporting the operational capacity availability and performance of the Cloud solutions against SLAs from a level two and level three support perspective;
- Providing engineering support for Cloud platform and infrastructure / network level two and level three incident and problem management;
- Drive the engineering discussions with Public Cloud service providers to forecast and right-size long-term capacity and performance requirements iterating regularly.
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
- At least 25 years of experience;
- Azure Cloud experience (OCI is a plus) specifically in the following technical components:
- Systems Administration: Experience with operating systems (Windows and Linux);
- Networking: Understanding of virtual networks VNETs VPNs and network security;
- Storage: Understanding of Azure storage solutions such as Blob Storage and Azure Files;
- Databases: Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases in Azure.
- Experience with other types of processes that while not specific to a cloud team have an impact on how resources are deployed such as
- Development project experience;
- CI/CD: experience with integration pipelines and continuous delivery;
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Knowledge of tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and Terraform preferably;
- Automation: Ability to automate tasks using Ansible or other scripting tools.
- Autonomy to design a resource architecture including networking and security components based on a business requirement;
- Initiative to develop new skills as technology changes almost daily and we need to identify the impact on the current architecture/resources;
- Experience of agile methodologies;
- Portuguese C1; English B1.
