Job Description

This is a remote position.

PERMANENT DAYSHIFT

Remote - AU Civil Works Estimator

Client type : Building & Construction - Civil Works
Full time - 40 hours per week
VA Rate - $10AUD per hour (Negotiable)

Base Civil Construction is seeking a Remote Civil Works Estimator with a strong background in civil works and construction estimating. The role requires a detail-oriented professional who can handle estimations take-offs tender preparation project planning and extensive administrative support. The ideal candidate will not only prepare accurate estimates but also manage project documentation coordinate with suppliers and assist in putting together project plans and templates. This position is critical in supporting tendering activities and ensuring smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimations & Proposals

Prepare accurate quantity take-offs on tenders.

Generate timely and professional proposals with detailed cost breakdowns covering equipment labor and materials.

Check drawings sizes and quantities to ensure estimation accuracy.

Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination

Liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and verify stock/availability.

Support communication with subcontractors as needed during tender and project stages.

Project Planning & Documentation

Organize and structure project plans including preparing timelines schedules and supporting documents.

Prepare and update project-related templates spreadsheets and accounts.

Put together SIPs (Safe Work Method Statements/Project Plans) modify titles and compile necessary project documents.

Administrative & Support Tasks

Manage email and calendar scheduling ensuring meetings deadlines and tenders are properly tracked.

Handle various administrative tasks such as file organization template creation and document formatting.

Provide ongoing support for project managers including preparing reports updating records and handling general admin work.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

At least 2 years similar experience as Remote Estimator supporting AU Building and Construction client
Familiarity with Australian construction standards is highly desirable. - compliance with Australian standards

Other preferred job requirements:

Preferably with experience in using Bluebeam and other take-off software

Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook & PDF Editing)

Familiarity with construction documentation tools

Strong numeracy attention to detail and pricing accuracy.

Effective communicator; able to liaise with sales suppliers and technicians.

Self-motivated reliable and flexible in a hybrid work setup.

Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)

Solid understanding of civil works and construction processes
