  • 20 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday 10am to 2pm Lidcombe NSW

Job Description

We re seeking a dedicated HR Assistant to join our client s mission-driven team and play a pivotal role in supporting their workforce operations. This is an exceptional opportunity to gain valuable experience in Australian HR practices while working with a company that truly values its employees and maintains the highest standards of compliance and professional development. You ll be working directly with leadership in a supportive environment where your contributions will have immediate impact on team operations and employee satisfaction.


Responsibilities:
  • Assist with recruitment processes

  • Assist with onboarding new employees

  • Update and maintain employee contracts

  • Save employees documents qualifications certificates in their file

  • Monitor employee qualifications and licenses ensuring they remain current and valid

  • Reach out to employees when qualifications or licenses are about to expire or have already expired

  • Distribute and manage half-yearly and annual review forms to staff

  • Assist with salary calculations for performance reviews and pay adjustments

  • Stay updated on changes in HR laws and regulations

  • Create new employees file using Xero payroll system generate payslips

  • Conduct payment reconciliation using Xero payroll system matching payments received to invoices sent

  • Potentially assist with accounts payable and receivable (as needed)

  • Communicate with team members through Slack for internal coordination


Requirements:
  • Experience with HR administrative tasks and employee record management

  • Strong attention to detail for tracking licenses and qualifications

  • Ability to perform basic salary calculations and review processes

  • Familiarity with Australian employment laws and regulations (preferred)

  • Excellent communication skills for employee outreach

  • Proficiency with digital communication tools like Slack

  • NDIS experience is a bonus but not required
