As a Junior Engineer your primary responsibility is to ensure the reliability and performance of critical systems and equipment in an organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineering operations maintenance and quality assurance to improve the reliability and maintainability of products and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance strategies to minimize equipment failures and optimize maintenance costs.
2. Conduct failure analysis and root cause investigations to identify areas for improvement and develop appropriate corrective actions.
3. Perform reliability predictions maintainability analysis and maintain reliability databases to track performance metrics.
4. Collaborate with engineering teams to review designs identify potential failure modes and provide input on reliability and maintainability requirements.
5. Establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs including developing procedures schedules and checklists.
6. Monitor equipment performance through the use of data analytics condition monitoring tools and statistical techniques.
7. Lead or participate in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
8. Conduct reliability testing and verification activities to support product development and ensure compliance with industry standards.
9. Train and mentor maintenance personnel on reliability engineering concepts tools and techniques.
10. Stay current with industry trends emerging technologies and best practices in reliability engineering.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical) Electrical Civil or Electronics.
Proven experience in a reliability engineering role preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles including reliability prediction methods (e.g. MTBF MTTF) design for reliability and reliability metrics.
Proficiency in the use of reliability analysis tools such as Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) Reliability Block Diagram (RBD) and Weibull analysis.
Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques including probability distributions hypothesis testing and regression analysis.
Experience with maintenance and reliability management systems (CMMS) and data analytics software.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Reliability Engineering certifications (e.g. CRE CMRP) are a plus.
