Schedule:

  • 20 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday 6:30 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Client Timezone: Australian Eastern Time (Sydney)

Job Description

We re seeking a creative and experienced Social Media Assistant to become the digital voice of an innovative artisanal hot sauce brand. You ll have the exciting opportunity to craft compelling content that showcases handmade organic products while building an engaged community of food lovers and hot sauce enthusiasts. This role offers creative freedom to develop unique content strategies around limited-edition product launches recipe creation and brand storytelling. You ll work closely with the founder to transform raw product footage and professional photos into scroll-stopping social media content that drives engagement and builds anticipation for new releases. This is perfect for someone who wants to make a real impact on a growing food brand and help establish its presence in the competitive specialty food market.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging high-quality content for Instagram and Facebook that showcases artisanal hot sauce products
  • Develop and maintain a strategic content calendar with 2-3 posts per week (with potential for increased frequency)
  • Edit raw product videos and cooking footage into compelling social media content
  • Build and nurture an active community through meaningful engagement with followers
  • Create buzz-worthy posts around new flavor launches and limited-batch releases
  • Develop recipe-focused content that demonstrates product versatility and usage
  • Schedule posts strategically throughout the day to maximize reach and engagement
  • Communicate the brand s authentic homemade and organic positioning through all content
  • Collaborate with the founder to align content with business goals and product launches

Requirements

  • 2-3 years of proven social media management experience preferably in food or lifestyle brands
  • Strong content creation skills with experience in copywriting and visual storytelling
  • Proficiency in video editing software and social media content creation tools
  • Deep understanding of Instagram and Facebook algorithms best practices and engagement strategies
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining consistent brand voice and messaging
  • Creative mindset with passion for food content and community building
  • Experience with social media scheduling tools and analytics platforms
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage authentically with online communities
