We are seeking a Research & Advisory Intern you will play a vital role in supporting the research team in delivering high-quality evidence-based outputs on food policy nutrition and related sectors. This role involves analytical research responsibilities with coordination and administrative support ensuring smooth research processes effective communication and timely project delivery.
You will contribute to a range of research activities from literature reviews and qualitative data analysis to drafting scholarly papers and stakeholder reports. You will also be involved in coding and analysing qualitative data extracting meaningful themes from interviews and focus group discussions and supporting the preparation of briefs reports papers and presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support in desk research literature reviews and analysis on topics related to food policy nutrition and food systems.
- Assist in transcription thematic coding and synthesis of qualitative data from interviews surveys and focus group discussions.
- Draft edit and proofread research papers briefs reports and presentations.
- Prepare summaries and syntheses of technical reports and academic publications.
- Support data management organization of research files and documentation processes.
Requirements
Key Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Public Health Nutrition Food Policy food systems or related fields.
- Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and synthesise qualitative and quantitative data.
- Interest in food policy nutrition public health or development studies.
- Excellent writing editing and presentation skills.
- Critical thinking skills with a commitment to accuracy rigour and excellence in output.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- We value fast thinkers and proactive function owners who take initiative and don t require excessive handholding to complete tasks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint); familiarity with qualitative coding software (e.g. NVivo) is an advantage but not required.
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new research methods and project needs.
